On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" UP’s Centre for Human Rights urged the South African government to foster social cohesion between foreign nationals and South Africans.
The article, featured above, appeared after a series of marches to Nigeria’s and Zimbabwe’s embassies. Locals protested against the presence of foreign nationsla in the country and accused the nationals of contributing to the high rates of crime and human trafficking. Prof. frans Viljoen at the the Centre for Human Rights warned that the march stigmatized foreign nationals and urged the government to condemn these protest.
