On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the student newspaper, Perdeby, gave advice on how the handle social media fatigue.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and extensive periods of lockdown isolated both students and staff for extended periods of time making them reliant on social media for social contact. The article, featured above, reported on the negative effect of overexposure to social media and how to minimize its impact. Over exposure to social media could cause stress, anxiety and fatigue. The article recommended that students limits their time on devices and that they monitor the quality of content that they watch.
