On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the student newspaper, Perdeby, urged the students to be politer on campus.

The article, featured above, noted that there are too many unfriendly students on campus. And why, asked the reporters, are you viewed as suspicious when you greet somebody on campus. “To create a healthy campus atmosphere, the students have to greet one another”.  The paper also urged the students to remember to smile more when walking on the grounds.
