A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 17 June 1970

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" UP bid farewell to Rector dr. C.H. Rautenbach at a lavish ceremony.

Classes ended early on the day to allow staff and students to attend the events on campus. UP provided refreshments as well as a memorial token for those who attend the farewell function and speeches in the Aula and on the Aula lawn. Patrons were also treated to performances by the UP choir and the police orchestra.

The University of Pretoria Archives (UPA) preserves the history of the University of Pretoria.
