A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 18 May 2006

Posted on May 18, 2021

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the UP Senate recognized the Centre for Human Rights as an academic department in the Faculty of Law.

By the end of 2006 the Faculty of Law consisted of the department of Legal History, Comparative Law and Legal Philosophy, Mercantile Law, Private Law, Procedural Law and Public law. With the recognizing of the Centre of Human Rights as a separate academic department the Faculty had 6 departments in 2007.

The UPA preserves the history of the University of Pretoria. We have an extensive photo collection and earlier copies of the senate, council and faculty minutes. The volumes of the University’s history captured in Ad Destinatium i-v, as featured here, also forms part of our collection. Please contact us on [email protected] to share your memories of Tukkies or access our collection virtually
