A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 24 March 1924

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the Theological Society “Van der Hoff” was founded at the house of prof. J. H. Greyvenstein.

Theological student, C. H. Rautenbach was the first chairman of this society. Rautenbach later became a UP rector. The “Van der Hoff” society aimed to assist and guide students that were studying for their theological degrees at UP. Theological professors and ministers served as honorary members of this society. The society also held annual meetings were students that were preparing for service and graduates already part of the ministry regularly attended.

The UPA preserves the history of the University of Pretoria.
