A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 24 November 1911

24 November 1911: Advertising for new positions at the Transvaal University College (TUC). On this “Day in the life” of the Transvaal University College (TUC) the management placed an advertisement in the Rand Daily Mail (featured below) for a clerical assistant at the library.

During this year, the students  and personnel of the College moved to the University’s current position on the Hatfield campus. The library was first located in the Old Arts building before it moved to the custom build Merensky building in 1939.
