A day in the life at the University of Pretoria 23 November 1917

23 November 1917: End of the 1917 academic activities. On this “Day in the life” of the Transvaal University College (TUC), the predecessor of the University of Pretoria, the yearbook (featured below) noted the end of the 1917 academic year.

In 1917 students of the Faculty of Agriculture of the TUC could study either Livestock farming, Pedology or Microbiology. By 1930 the study fields in this faculty also  included Veterinary Science, Entomology, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Dairying, Horticulture, Poultry, agricultural economy
