03 November 1946: UP showcased legendary artist. On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria", the University celebrated Bettie Celliers-Barnard art work at a public exhibit.

UP showcased some of this acclaimed artist work in the Macfayden hall in Pretoria. Barnard studied at UP and the Normaal College in Pretoria from 1934-1937. In 1944 she married another old Tukkie and UP employee Mr. C.H. Cilliers.
