A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 21 October 1983

21 October 1983: Indoor sport centre opened. On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" UP rector Prof DM Joubert opened the indoor sport centre.

The sport centre boasted a multipurpose hall with 2 600 pavilion seats. It also had areas for training and relaxing, committee rooms, offices, cloakrooms, cafeteria and a tea garden.
