25 September 1987: The Arnold Theiler building opens on the Onderstepoort Campus. On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the building was inaugurated by the State President, PW Botha.

The 1987 Arnold Theiler building consisted of the deanery, administration offices , library, lecture halls, museum, cafeteria and cloakrooms.
