A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 21 September 1944

21 September 1944: Department of Radiology founded. On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the UP council announced the creation of the Department of Radiology as part of UP’s Health Sciences Faculty.

Dr. S. F. Oosthuizen was appointed as the first professor and head of department in 1945.
