A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 16 September 1975

16 September 1975: Fire in Old Agricultural building. At 16:00 on this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria” a fire broke out on the top floor of the Old Agricultural building.

Within half an hour the roof collapse. Local newspapers (clipping featured above) also covered the event. The fire destroyed the top section but was brought under control by the fire bridge within the hour. Lab and other equipment on the bottom floor was also damaged.
