27 August 2009:  Department of Pharmacology’s, Clinical Trails Unit, renovated. On this “Day in the Life of the University of Pretoria”, the unit was upgraded to international standards.

The Clinical Research Unit is housed in the Pathology Building. It conducts clinical research on rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular problems, Type 2 diabetes with cardiovascular complications; diabetic neuropathy, HIV/Aids, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, depression and urology.
