The 2015 autumn graduation ceremony will begin on the 14 April, 85 years after the first graduation ceremony took place in October 1930. Academic dress is compulsory for all graduates and graduates has since the late 1940s obtained the customary hood, cap and gown from Dippenaar & Reinecke as shown here in a Perdeby advert and note from 1947.
