The Tourism Management Division – the smallest division in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences – proudly conferred two doctoral degrees at UP’s 2016 Autumn Graduation Ceremony.
Dr Simon Chiutsi’s doctoral studies focused on sustainable tourism and community participation in transfrontier tourism development, studying the case of the Sengwe community and the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area (GLTFCA).
Dr Paschalia Muhoho-Minni’s doctoral studies concentrated on the strategic role of the media in constructing a destination image, with the focus on the Kenyan experience.
Prof Berendien Lubbe, Head of the Tourism Management Division, would like to congratulate these two doctorate students with their achievements on behalf of the whole Division.
