Mrs Elizabeth Kruger and Prof Ernie Heath from the Department of Tourism Management presented a paper entitled “Critical success factors for leveraging mega-events as an element of tourism destination competitiveness: a case study from the 2010 FIFA World Cup™”. The paper received the award for the best research paper of the conference.
