The students visited the hotel where they had a tour through the premises and spent time with each unit manager. The objective of the visit was to enable the students to develop a strategic and operational plan for the hotel, based on the two objectives that they identified to increase client serve and guest satisfaction. Reports of their findings and recommendations were presented to the General Manager and the Assistant Manager during June. The reports were well received and the panel was very impressed with the students’ hard work. For the students it was a challenging experience that they will not forget easily, yet is was a very valuable exercise that will prepare them for the working environment.
