In 2024, the University of Pretoria relaunched its Curriculum Transformation Drive through a series of lectures. The primary focus was to evaluate the 2016 Curriculum Transformation Framework considering recent developments in higher education. This series provided a platform for the university community to reflect on the framework’s effectiveness and strategies for the future.

The university’s curriculum transformation efforts are aligned with its broader Transformation Plan for 2023–2027. With an emphasises on the need for a holistic approach to transformation, the plan focuses on the inclusivity and diversity of curricula. Not only does it advocate for transdisciplinary and cross-faculty collaboration but creates a dynamic and inclusive educational environment.
