Dr. Justice Medzani was awarded his PhD (Sociology). The title of Dr. Medzani's study is Intimate Partner Abuse and Male Identity: Experiences and Perspective of Abused Men in Zimbabwe. He was supervised by Professor Zitha Dewah-Mokomane.

Dr. Neo Mohlabane was awarded her PhD (Sociology). The title of Dr. Neo Selikane-Mohlabane's study is (Re)-Construction of womanhood in Lesotho: Narratives of ‘Unmarried’ Basotho women. She was supervised by Professor Malehoko Tshoaedi.

Dr. Christine Psoulis Bischoff was awarded her PhD (Sociology). The title of Dr. Bischoff's study is Class, Contradictions and Intersections: The Emergence of Organic Workerism in South African Public Sector Unions? She was supervised by Professor Andries Bezuidenhout.

Ms. Pfarelo Brandy Matsila was awarded her MSocSci (Sociology) Cum Laude. The title of Ms. Matsila's mini-dissertation is Intergenerational constructions of black feminine identity: Mother-daughter narratives. She was supervised by Dr Rachelle Chadwick.
