Prof Marien Graham and Dr Maryke Mihai from the Department of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education, Faculty of Education, University of Pretoria, presented papers at the International Conference on Education and New Developments (END) 2022, which was held in Madeira, Portugal, from 18 to 20 June 2022 (see Photo 1). The END conference is held annually and is organised by the World Institute for Advanced Research and Science (WIARS). Prof Graham’s presentation was titled ‘Relationship between school climate and South African Grade 9 learner achievement in mathematics and science’, and Dr Mihai’s presentation was titled ‘A case of an assessment module in distance education at the University of Pretoria’; the full-text articles are available in the two END volumes available at http://end-educationconference.org/proceedings/.
