She began her three-year PhD in science education at the University of Pretoria in 2013. In 2011, she completed an MSc in science education at UP, funded by the Trust through a Graça Machel scholarship. Ms Mathabathe specialises in tertiary chemical education, preservice and inservice science teacher training. She says: “My passion is in science teacher training and contributing to the improvement of science teaching and learning.”
