Tuks faced Centurion in this week’s Carlton Cup encounter. On the 5th May 2016 Tuks U/20 and U/21 team both sealed victory in their respective matches against Centurion.

Maties overcame Tuks in the second Cup semi-final after they beat the men from Pretoria 12-5 in an extremely tight encounter.

PJ Uys scored right in the corner for Tuks early in the first half to take a 7-0 lead. He scored another one a minute later after UJ failed to gather the restart and he had nobody between him and the tryline.

UP-Tuks made light work of UFS Kovsies when a strong finish to the game saw the men from Pretoria claim a 29-12 win. WJ Strydom was the star player for Tuks, scoring two great tries in the first half as they lead Kovsies 10-5 at half time.

It was all Tuks in the opening match of the day. PJ Uys opened up the scoring for Tuks, straightening to find a gap and split the WSU defence.

Tuks started their match against UWC the stronger of the two teams, executing an excellent kick and chase for Dewald Naude to score the opener.

Pukke started strongly with Elof Scheepers picking up a loose ball to run around the left flank and score the opener between the posts for his side.
