Congratulations to Dr. Abe Kasonga, Senior Lecturer at the University of Pretoria, for achieving a Y2 NRF rating. Dr. Kasonga completed his Ph.D. on the role of free fatty acid receptors in osteoclasts and osteoblasts, and has published two manuscripts in high-impact journals. He has also won several awards, including the ISSFAL Travel Award and the Top 3 New Investigators Award. Dr. Kasonga is passionate about research and has supervised numerous students while continuing to publish his work internationally.
