Miss Caitlin Mason is a first year MSc student in the Department of Physiology under the supervision of Dr Abe Kasonga and Dr Trevor Nyakudya. She was awarded a second place in the Masters section at the 2022 Faculty of Health Sciences Faculty Day, for her poster titled "The potential beneficial effects of chrysin on bone metabolism".
Miss Mason has further been awarded a travel grant to present her research at the 49th annual Physiological Society of Southern Africa congress in September where she will present results from her MSc studies.
