Studying under Professor AM Joubert of the Department of Physiology has the honour of attending the 1st National Cell Death Society Conference that will be held at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town from 10-12 January 2011. Their research is aimed at evaluating novel anticancer agents and the induction of cell death in tumorigenic cell lines, while leaving non-tumorigenic cell lines unaffected.
