PET/CT Workshop 2-5 Nov 2010

The University of Pretoria's Department of Nuclear Medicine co-hosted the IAEA workshop on PET/CT with the University of the Witwatersrand in Midrand in November 2010.

The aim of the workshop was to revisit some of the common indications for FDG-PET/CT and also to obtain input from the referring clinicians. The workshop was attended by approximately a 120 doctors from various disciplines, including radiology and radiation oncology.

Prof A Maes from KUL (Belgium), Prof S Stroobants from the University Hospital in Antwerp and Prof O Israel from the Rambam Healthcare Campus (Israel),captivated their audience with their brilliant lectures and everyone left with a better understanding of the various considerations in PET/CT.
