The Department of Mining Engineering recently completed a University short course for graduates from the Randgold group in Mali (Loulo Mines). The course consisted of mining methods, ventilation and rock engineering modules. The candidates attended class sessions, (a week for each module), on which assignments was completed to proof the successful completion of the modules. Randgold has invested in continuous development of their graduate group and approached TUKS Mining to assist them in putting together this programme.

The programme has rolled over to their DRC operations (Kibali Mine) where a new cycle had started.
