Students in Mining Engineering are encouraged to enrol for the University of Pretoria’s Ready for Work Programme. It is specifically designed for students or graduates from the University of Pretoria to acquire the requisite skills and attributes to help them integrate more easily into the world of work. After following this programme, they can move from the world of education to the world of work with essential and/or specialised skills that will improve their prospects of employment (or self-employment).

The programme consists of four course packages that include either free modules or pay-per-course options.
