The Department of Mining Engineering now have a very well established collaboration agreement with the Clausthal University of Technology in Germany. This is the second year running that the Department is sending students as part of an exchange program to Germany. In July 2013 three students, Lucia Steinbach, Marc Hermanski and Tarik Oguz joined the Department for six months and on the 18th of November three of our students Stefanus Potgieter, Charmain Bilankulu and Diederik Roodt went to Germany to experience the academic and cultural world in Germany. Know they will enjoy the experience.
