The papers were presented at the 14 th International Conference on Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics (HEFAT2019) in Wicklow,Ireland from 22 to 24 July 2019. The conference is broad in scope and provides a forum forspecialists in heat transfer, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics from all corners of the globe topresent the latest progress and developments in the field. A total of 266 papers were presented andbest paper awards were presented to Prof Ken Craig and PhD-student Wilhelm van den Bergh. Dr Marilize Everts, a post-doctoral fellow in CERG and future staff member of the Department did exceptionally well. She presented two papers and received two best paper awards.
