INTERVARSITY FLIGHT COMPETITION

 Aeronautical Engineering students from both Universities built their own model aircraft and competed in four races, aimed to challenge each team in a different way.

 The Flying Wing Race was abandoned due to technical complications.

 The University of Pretoria won the remaining three races, namely the Short Take-Off Race, the High Speed Race and the Glider Race and clinched the overall trophy sponsored by the Aeronautical Society of South Africa.
