ECD STEM workshop at the Mamelodi campus

The Mamelodi campus presented an Early Childhood Development STEM workshop with Puleng Tsie and her team from Sci-Enza. The workshop aimed to inspire educators and caregivers to integrate STEM concepts into early childhood education, making learning both engaging and accessible for young learners. Participants were introduced to a variety of hands-on activities that encouraged exploration in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Puleng Tsie emphasised the importance of fostering curiosity and problem-solving skills in children from a young age, equipping them with the foundational knowledge needed for future learning. She and her team shared best practices and resources that educators could easily implement in their classrooms, promoting an inquiry-based approach to learning. Attendees left the workshop feeling inspired and equipped with new tools and ideas to enhance their teaching strategies. Overall, the event was a success, reinforcing the essential role of early childhood education in shaping enthusiastic and capable future innovators.
