The European Commission is hosting a Study in Europe Fair at Wits University on 17 & 18 May 2018. We would like to invite you to attend the Fair, which will include 30 exhibitors from the European Commission and EU Member States. The Study in Europe Fair is a platform for EU Member States, their Universities and the European Commission to showcase academic opportunities in Europe. The objective is to promote knowledge of DG EAC programmes and European higher education in general, and to increase the participation of South African students and higher education institutions. The event will take a two-pronged approach: an exhibition and presentations (attached is the draft programme of presentations). In addition, the European Commission, with Wits University as co-host, will present a workshop on the Erasmus+ programme. This will cover the various components of Erasmus+ including International Credit Mobility, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees and Capacity Building in Higher Education, as well as the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility programme. We would like to invite you to participate in this workshop focusing on institutional participation in these programmes. This will be an opportunity for you to receive first-hand information, pose questions and seek clarifications related to the Erasmus+ and the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility programmes. Participation in the workshop is free. Travel and accommodation costs will unfortunately not be covered by the European Commission.
