On Friday 25 March 2021, Commissioner Mariya Gabriel (Commissioner responsible for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth) announced the launch of the new Erasmus+ programme and its first call for proposals.

The new Erasmus+ programme covers the period 2021-2027, with the various components phased in during 2021 and 2022. The international dimension of the programme is only partly reflected in this first call, namely in Erasmus Mundus Actions, Jean Monnet Actions, and the new Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Design Measures.

The International Credit Mobility and Capacity Building for Higher Education components will only become available in 2022.

More information for applicants on how to apply to these actions will appear on the EACEA website in April.
