Thabang Ngwenya is a Lecturer in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. The focus of his research is spread across: Systems Engineering (complex systems modelling, dynamic systems modelling, behaviour change systems, system optimization, intelligent systems, business modelling, maintenance and reliability modelling); Robotics; Facilities Planning; Engineering Education and Enterprise Engineering. He adds value in our communities by leading community outreach projects under Keep That Gold Shining NPC in collaboration with Joint Community-Based Project (JCP) module from EBIT faculty and other partners. The projects are: tutoring, mentorship, career guidance, computer literacy and robotics. Keep That Gold Shining is a non-profit and volunteer-based organization which was initiated in 2014, it is aimed at unleashing the potential of South African youth through the projects we facilitate.
