The Stoneman Laboratory proudly hosts fundamental and state-of-the-art analytical instruments that help us put your mineral processing in motion. 

• MINERAL PROCESSING includes magnetic separation, rotary separation, sieving, panning, and more. We bring life to old-school skills and look at energy transition techniques available globally.
• With SELFRAG (our new kid on the block), state-of-the-art mineral liberation provides a method for extracting individual minerals in their natural form that is unmatched on the continent. 
• With two XRD instruments, providing mineralogical, phase, stress-strain and high-temperature routine analyses has never been easier.
• With XRF, fundamental elemental analyses for major, minor and trace elements are routinely performed.

UP staff and students enjoy first-hand on-site availability of these instruments, and there is rarely a quiet day in this analytical hub. Universities and companies that need R&D assistance form part of the repeat customer base that keeps the Stoneman Laboratory current and up-to-date with analytical needs and trends.
