Dr Brammertz will provide an overview of his work as the Prosecutor of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, established by the United Nations Security Council in 2010 to complete the work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. He will also focus on the development of International Criminal Law as a branch of International Law over the last decades and address contemporary issues in the field.
