On February 18^th 2023 faculty houses took part in INSYNC, a first-year concert competition consisting of singing, dancing and band performances. Law House collaborated with EBIT (Engineering, Built Environment and IT) faculty house to create a larger group for the competition as well as to demonstrate unity between faculty houses for first-year students. The two performances took place at different venues one at Aula and the other at the amphitheatre on Hatfield campus. This pair named “LawBit” produced an outstanding performance and was victorious in the competition.

The following week on the 25^th of February 2023, Law House took part in UP RAG at TUKSRAG farm. UP RAG is a student-driven fundraising and community service organisation of the University of Pretoria. On this day all student leader structures as well as the residences took part in selling handmade crafts to raise funds for a charity of their choosing. Law House partnered with NatHouse (Faculty of Natural Sciences) and sold a variety of handmade crafts including scrunchies, bracelets as well as art work (drawings) made by the Law House chairperson Jeandre Otto. The partnership donated a total of R6 000 to the campus food programme Student Nutrition and Progress Programme (SNAP). Law House together with Lex Natura won best craft stall and marketing as well as the Sports for Rag of Hope day accolade.  While the main results were shared on the day, Law house is awaiting more results for which they anticipate triumph from the RAG committee.

The Faculty of Law is extremely proud of the achievements of Law House and wish them well in their future efforts as they continue to fly the UP Law Faculty flag high.
