The sixth issue of Silberberg and Schoeman’s The Law of Property is expected to land on bookshops' shelves later this year.  

As a first, Dr Gustav Muller in the Department of Private Law and Prof Reghard Brits in the Department of Mercantile Law in the Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria are involved in the updating of this book this year – Muller as Editor-in-chief and Brits as contributing author. Together, they have updated more than half of the book. 

This is a historic moment in the sense that again two colleagues from the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Law are playing an integral role in updating this book, as Muller and Brits are following in the footsteps of Professors André Boraine (current Dean) and Prof Duard Kleyn (former Dean), who were involved in the publication of the third edition of said book.
