On World Refugee Day (20 June 2018), the Centre for Child Law in the Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria spoke to eNCA during a television interview about displaced children, including asylum seekers and refugees.
During the interview Prof Ann Skelton, the Director of the Centre for Child Law pointed out the types of forcibly displaced persons. She also said that it if there are no adverse reasons for children to be separated from their care givers, separation should not take place, as this was not in the child's best interest.
