On Tuesday, 17 April 2018, undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria, accompanied by proud family and friends, congregated on a lovely Pretoria autumn morning at the Rembrandt hall on the Hillcrest Campus for their graduation ceremony.  The session was live streamed for family and friends who were unable to attend the ceremony.  The previous evening the Faculty of Law paid tribute to its academic stars at its annual Recognition of Achievement Function.

At undergraduate and postgraduate level, the Faculty proudly awarded 352 LLB degrees, 102 Master’s/MPhil degrees and 18 Doctorate/PhD degrees at this event.

In many ways, the Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria experienced a remarkably successful year in 2017, as UP Law conferred no less than 35 doctorates and 179 master’s degrees at the three graduation ceremonies in September and December 2017 and April 2018, held for students who fulfilled the requirements of their respective degrees during the 2017-academic year.
