About Eusebius McKaiser
Eusebius McKaiser is a South African political analyst, broadcaster, philosophy lecturer and writer. He studied moral philosophy as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University and is an associate of the Wits Centre for Ethics. He has written extensive social and political commentary in local and international print media and he anchored Talk At Nine on Talk Radio 702 and Power Talk With Eusebius McKaiser on Power 98.7
He has authored two best-selling books, A Bantu In My Bathroom and Could I Vote DA? His third book has recently been released to immediate critical acclaim - Run, Racist, Run: Journeys into the heart of racism.
About the LLM/MPhil in Human Rights and Democartisation in Africa
The LLM/MPhil in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa is a prestigious one-year intensive course where 25-30 exceptional individuals spend 6 months in Pretoria and 6 months at one of the 13 partner universities all over Africa. They are taught by eminent lecturers in the field of human rights and undergo many practical training exercises. It is the only course of its kind in Africa. Graduates become members of the HRDA Alumni Association whose 455 members are currently active in the full spectrum of human rights work: from grassroots, through civil service, to international organisations including the African Union and the United Nations.
About the Centre for Human Rights
The Centre for Human Rights was established in 1986 and is celebrating its 30th anniversary during 2016. It is both an academic department and a non-governmental organisation. The Centre works towards human rights education in Africa, a greater awareness of human rights, the wide dissemination of publications on human rights in Africa, and the improvement of the rights of women, people living with HIV, indigenous peoples, sexual minorities and other disadvantaged or marginalised persons or groups across the continent.
