Posted on May 26, 2014

The Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria hosted its second prestige lecture for the year on Wednesday, 21 May 2014, when Justice Johan Froneman of the Constitutional Court addressed the audience on “The (constitutional) problem of property”.

Justice Froneman addressed issues such as “what kind of legally secure title of property does the Constitution envision for those persons who were deprived of property by colonial and apartheid dispossession?”

The Prestige Lecture Series of the Faculty of Law is a highlight on the Faculty's calendar and was initiated during 2008 when the University of Pretoria and the Faculty of Law celebrated its centenary.
