Faculty seminar stimulates discussions and research

The programme on Thursday, 6 November 2014, included a range of topics presented by various members of staff, ranging from euthanasia to tax avoidance. Constitutional Court Justice Johann van der Westhuizen and the founding director of the Centre for Human Rights facilitated the morning session and provided feedback on some of the topics from a Constitutional Court perspective. Justice Van der Westhuizen received an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Law in December 2013.

Dean André Boraine commented that ‘this was a very worthwhile exercise and the Faculty plans to host more of these seminars to stimulate cross-pollination research’.
