Zuma urges effective use of the new Children’s Act to benefit SA’s youth (Launching the Children’s Act in Atteridgeville Township outside Pretoria on Friday, 21 May 2010, President Jacob Zuma said it would provide better mechanisms for reporting child abuse and neglect.
  • THE STAR (p.6):
Kids sold as desperate moms need cash (Foreign women, mostly Zimbabweans, rent out their children for as little as R20 a day to beggers at congested intersections. Carina du Toit from UP’s Centre for Child Law, said selling a baby for adoption qualified as child trafficking).
