Faculty lets its hair down

Posted on August 20, 2012

The theme this year was “What is (the) Law?” and students along with staff members used their creativity to add flavor to this event. Music, food and wine (tasting) were enjoyed against a backdrop of live plays; a customary marriage performance by the Department of Private Law especially had the audience in stitches. Music performances and poetry readings by students from all years and lecturers alike kept the stage alive in between plays. A treasure hunt, running novel and turning experiences into writing were also activities to participate in.

Metal scaffolding inspired by hanging artworks and the drifting musical notes in the air transformed the Faculty into a medley of originality and artistry for one night.

As the evening winded down and students slowly disappeared from the quad, the building returned to silent stone only to awake again next year.

The Department of Jurisprudence would like to thank all the participants for their energy, creativity and involvement in this year’s successful Festival.
