The Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria is offering a maximum of four full-time doctoral scholarships for South African nationals in the field of public international law, with thesis topics related to the relationship between international humanitarian law and human rights law in military operations.

Applications must be accompanied by a (i) CV (ii) grade transcripts (iii) motivation letter of 300 words and (iv) a draft research proposal of 2000-3000 words.

1 Post-doctoral Position in the Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria is offering a Postdoc position in the field of public international law. The area of research must be related to the relationship between international humanitarian law and human rights law in military operations.

The position is for two years and open to suitable candidates of any nationality. The salary amounts to ZAR 200 000- per annum (tax free). Each application must be accompanied by a (i) CV (ii) grade transcripts (iii) two letters of reference (iv) motivation letter of 300 words and (iv) draft research proposal of 2000-3000 words.
