Former Supreme Court of Appeal Deputy President, Judge Louis Harms, and Adams & Adams Professor in Intellectual Property Law and Supreme Court of Appeal Judge Frans Malan on receiving Laureate Awards on Friday, 15 November 2013.  The Laureate Award is the highest award an alumnus or an outstanding achiever can receive from UP.

Prof Steve Cornelius received an invitation to become a member of the Hague International Academy for Sports Law (HISLAC).  This is a very exclusive group of experts in Sports Law with extensive influence on Sports Law and Policy in Europe and elsewhere.  Membership is by invitation only and he is the first person from South Africa (and African continent and southern hemisphere) who has been invited to join.  Current members are from Europe, North America and Asia; and

Prof Koos Malan received a C2-rating from the NRF with effect 1 January 2014.
