In line with tradition, on the outside of the Law Building the Faculty proudly acknowledges its graduates during graduation week, and inspires current TuksLaw students aspiring towards obtaining a University of Pretoria degree.
The Faculty of Law offers the four year LLB degree, as well as the BA (Law) LLB and BCom (Law) LLB (five years) options. The Faculty of Law recently amended its LLB curriculum to emphasise the importance of research skills, analytical problem solving skills and writing skills.
According to Deputy Dean Anton Kok "our faculty has consistently been ranked as one of the best by prospective employers. We recommend that law students complete a BA (Law) or BCom (Law) before registering for the LLB. However, many of our four year LLB graduates choose to complete an LLM after their LLB, which is another way of broadening their legal education and preparing them for a life in law."
